There are scientific disciplines, which share many of the same skepticisms, e.g. the Integrationist approach lead by Oxford scholar Roy Harris. I believe there are good reasons to remain fundamentally skeptical of a psychology adhering to principles of natural science. However, I would say that psychology is an absolutely necessary enterprise, but one which need to be coupled with phenomenology, sociology, and principles of Ecological Psychology, Dialogism, and Integrationism to really be able to inform us generally about the human species and particularly about the individual.
